Testimonials

The Catholic education that I received at Holy Redeemer School (B.V.M.) has helped to shape me into the person I am today. Nothing can compare with the education that one receives at Holy Redeemer School. The hard work ethic and values that were instilled in me at a very young age, have followed me throughout my career. The religious values learned have also made me more aware of Jesus' message to all of us on spreading the Good News. I am a very caring and compassionate person because of my Catholic upbringing which includes the seven years I spent at Holy Redeemer School.  I am currently a high school teacher at Aliquippa High School, I completed my undergraduate degree from Washington and Jefferson College and my Master of Education degree from the University of Pittsburgh. I am confident that the education that I received at Holy Redeemer School gave me the foundation to become successful both in and out of the classroom. I was blessed to experience all the wonderful teachers, priests, nuns and classmates at Holy Redeemer School, and I can proudly say that I am still friends with all of my Holy Redeemer classmates. There is a special bond between all of us, and it is truly amazing.

My name is Jennifer Jones and I attended Holy Redeemer School from Kindergarten through sixth grade. It was B.V.M. at the time and although we didn't wear uniforms then, the Catholic foundation that was taught remains the same. As a mother of three, I find it increasingly necessary to surround my children with positive, spiritual and morally upstanding people. Holy Redeemer School provided me with all of these, and gave me the confidence and dedication to Christ that enabled me to become the person I am. My longest and dearest friends are those I went through Holy Redeemer school with. Regardless of denominations, as parents we all want what is best for our children. For me that is providing them an academic environment where they are taught acceptance and tolerance of others, to be non-judgmental and respect all others. Most importantly a school environment where they feel safe, loved and are rewarded for their individual talents. My five year old daughter will be attending Kindergarten at Holy Redeemer School in the fall and my four year old son will be attending the full-day Pre- Kindergarten 4 class, three days a week. When my 10 month old reaches school age she, too, will go to Holy Redeemer.
Hope to see you and your family there this fall as well.

I have been teaching 3rd grade in New Jersey for nine years. Holy Redeemer School was very instrumental in making me the person I am today. Mrs. Pelloni taught me to be myself and be proud of who I am. I will never forget the lessons she taught and the impact she had on my life. In fact, she is the reason I became a teacher. Being an educator, I know how instrumental a teacher can be in a student's life. I feel that the teachers I had at Holy Redeemer School were great! I enjoyed going to school and made some lifelong friendships.
