Holy Redeemer School/Scholarships

Sometimes at Holy Redeemer we forget just how lucky we are! We have been blessed with people who want to see your children succeed in a Catholic School and put their money where your child can benefit!

It has been a very humbling experience to see our senior citizens come to the office with their weekly donation to the Angel Fund. You know, those $5.00 donations do add up. And our Holy Redeemer Students do reap a harvest of tuition assistance!

The Angel Fund provides for families in need of tuition assistance. A family seeking Angel Funds has to:

Complete a PSAS form before Mar.15.

Complete an Angel Fund Application

Have a student in grades KDG thu Gr.6

Have a financial need

The Angel fund was able to award every child that met the above criteria a $350 award to the total of $11,200.

The Angel Fund received a special gift from a very special person. Sr. Betty Jean Takacs MPF, Principal of Holy Redeemer School 1998-2007, commemorated her 50^{th
anniversary in Religious Life and her time spent serving our school with
a $500 donation to the Angel fund.}

The Dallas Hartman Academic Scholarship

goes to one lower school student and one upper school student who demonstrates academic excellence, good character marks and has a financial need. Each student is awarded $100 toward their current school tuition. This year’s recipients are:

In memory of Laurie J Greco, a Tuition Grant is a $500 grant split between two students. This year’s recipients are:

The Lou and Cynthia Gatto Scholarship is given to a 5th grader ($200) and 6th grader ($100) of the current school year. The Gatto Scholarship believes that no child who seeks a Catholic School Education should be denied one. This year’s recipients are:

The “Penguin Shirt Award” sponsored by Joseph A.Tomon Funeral Home & Crematory was a joint effort between the school children and the Tomon Family. A Penguin Shirt was raffled off during the school year and the money raised through the raffle was matched by the Tomon Family. This $200 grant goes to
