Holy Redeemer School/Aftercare

Holy Redeemer School offers after school care as a service to those parents who work. Students enrolled in Aftercare will have snack time and will do homework or A.R. reading each day during scheduled quiet time. They will also participate in activities, such as games, puzzles, movie day, etc. The children will be using the school facilities, the gym and the outdoor playground (weather permitting).

Days and Hours of Operation

The aftercare program is available Monday - Friday from 2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. This program is open from the first full day of school in August to the final full day of school in June. The program is not open for Noon Dismissal days or when school is not in session.

Enrollment

Aftercare is available to all students of Holy Redeemer School in grades Pre-K 4 - 6th grade. Any child entering the After Care Program must have a completed enrollment form. Please return all forms to the school office or the Aftercare supervisor. Forms may be obtained from the school office or click here to print one. Aftercare for siblings of Holy Redeemer students is limited to kids in grades 7 & 8 only (regular fees apply.)

The Pre-Paid rate for Aftercare is $3 per hour / per child with a one hour minimum charge. Billing times are as follows: 2:30 - 3:30 p.m.; 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.; 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. No Refunds or Credits will be given for missed days. All participants in the Aftercare program, no matter the age or reason, will be charged according to the above rates.

For Example: A child picked up after 4:30 will be charged for 3 full hours.

Payments

After Care Services are to be pre-paid. Payments are to be made on the Friday before service each week*. If your child should be unexpectedly sent to After Care, payments are to be made at the time of pick up or may be sent to the office the following day at a "Drop-In" rate of $10 per day. Payment records will be kept and parents will receive a statement each month. Any remaining balances are to be paid upon receiving your monthly statement.

Make Checks Payable to: Holy Redeemer School with Aftercare written in Memo space.

There is a $25 late payment fee. There is a $50 fee for returned checks. Failure to keep up with payments will result in removal from the program until balances are paid and any future payments must be Money Orders only. If there is a special circumstance, kindly make it known to the school principal.

*Payment for the first week of school (August 25th - 27th) is due on August 27th, along with payment for the following week. (Aug. 30 - Sept. 3rd)

Snacks

All Participants are to bring an after school snack and drink from home. Snack will not be provided. Snacks should be healthy, easy to eat and easy to clean up. No candy or soda pop will be permitted as a snack. No Glass Containers. Some examples of an acceptable snack are:

Fruits & Veggies (apple, banana, baby carrots etc...)
Pretzels, Popcorn, Crackers (Goldfish, Graham, Ritz, etc...)
Pudding, Jell-O, Applesauce, or Fruit Cups
Juice Boxes or Pouches. Bottled water.

Holy Redeemer School is a NUT FREE School.
Any snack that does not comply with our food allergy policy is not permitted.

Pick-Up

Children will be released only to those persons listed on their enrollment form. The school office or supervising adult should be notified if anyone other than the designated person(s) will be picking up your child. Persons picking up a child from the program must use the lunchroom door unless otherwise noted. The child(ren) must be signed out each day.

Discipline

The same discipline policy applies in the aftercare program as during the regular school day. The school reserves the right to dismiss any child from the program who does not comply with these rules or cooperate with the aftercare supervisor.
